Frequent asked questions.
Booking & stays
Can I book a single house, or do I have to take
the whole village?
Either. Book one house for two, or the whole village for up to 60, or anything in between.
The whole hill can be yours alone if you want it.
How many people can stay?
19 private bedrooms across the ten houses, sleeping up to 60 when rooms are shared. Each house has its own capacity, from two in a cottage to ten in the Mansion.
Is there a minimum stay?
The Cottages and Chalets (1–2 bedrooms) can be booked for a single night; the Villas and the Mansion (2/3/4 bedrooms) have a two-night minimum.
How do I book?
Single houses can be booked and paid for directly here on the site: dates, house, done. For the whole village, a celebration or an off-site, it’s a short conversation instead: tell us what you need and we’ll set it up.
How do I pay, and what's the cancellation policy?
A 30% deposit confirms your booking; the balance is due at check-in, by cash, card or bank transfer. Free cancellation up to 48 hours before you arrive.
When's the best time to come?
Year-round. Snow and ski access in winter, hiking and mountain picnics in summer. Midweek is the valley at its quietest.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in from 15:00, check-out by 12:00. Arriving earlier or leaving later? Let us know: we’ll do what we can to make it work, especially midweek when the village is quiet.
How does check-in work?
Self check-in, start to finish. On the day, we send you everything you need: the gate code, a map to your house, and the locker code for your key, plus house rules and short videos for the sauna and ciubăr. Our manager, Gabriela, is a message away for anything you need during your stay.
The houses
What's in each house?
A private sauna and a wood-fired ciubăr, a fireplace, and a full kitchen with an espresso machine. Robes, slippers, towels and toiletries are all provided. Sizes and layouts vary: see The Village for details on each one.
Is there Wi-Fi / phone signal?
Yes to both, and strong enough to work from if you need to, with the password waiting in your house when you arrive. Phone signal is good across the village. (Though plenty of guests enjoy letting both go quiet for a while.)
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, we’re pet-friendly! Let us know you’re bringing one when you book.
Is it suitable for young children/accessible
for limited mobility?
Families are very welcome: tell us you’re travelling with little ones and we’ll point you to the houses that suit a pushchair best, as the hill is steep in places. For wheelchair access, the Briançon Cottage is fully adapted.
Food & wellness
Are meals included?
Breakfast isn’t included, but our basket—fresh bread, eggs, local cheese and preserves—can be delivered to your door each morning for 60 lei per person. Just add it when you book, or ask us.
Can you cater for dietary needs?
Yes: vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and allergies, with advance notice.
What about other meals?
Fire-cooked dinners, picnics on the mountain, wine tastings are all arranged around your group. No restaurant yet (one’s on the way), but the kitchen fires up on demand. Just tell us what you’re after.
Do you have a restaurant?
Not yet—but one is on the way. In the meantime, our kitchen fires up on demand: fire-cooked dinners, breakfast baskets to your door, picnics on the mountain, and meals built around your group whenever you want them. No set menu, no fixed hours: just tell us what you’re after.
Is the spa included, or extra?
Yes: the shared spa is open to every guest, included in your stay, no booking needed. Heated indoor and outdoor pools, a salt room, and a relaxation space, open daily from 9:00 until 21:00. And your house’s own sauna and ciubăr are yours any hour, on no schedule at all.
Experiences & events
How do I book activities?
The simple pleasures are there whenever you like: the animals, the trails, the firepit. For private stays we can also set up a carriage out to the deer, ATV hire, or point you to the self-guided hikes. The bigger productions—team games, archery, guided days—are built mainly for larger groups and off-sites. Tell us what you’re after and we’ll build the days around you.
Can you host weddings / off-sites / big celebrations?
Yes: the whole village, the Barn, and everything configured around the occasion. Find out more about Events here.
